ELLIOT EASTON
guitar
Plays Guitar Left Handed with default stringing.
In band(s) : THE CARS, CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVISITED
Whereas Easton’s name will be forever linked to his contributions within The Cars, he has taken part in many other projects since – and even before – the band’s demise in 1988, including: a solo album, appearances on other artists’ records, producing and writing music, and, since 1998, working steadily as lead guitarist in Creedence Clearwater Revisited, the reunited version of the seminal 1960s group Creedence Clearwater Revival, minus frontman John Fogerty. Elliot Easton’s influences span all musical genres, from classical music and opera to jazz, blues, folk, rock’n’roll, lounge and film scores. His interests dig deep into the roots and formative elements of contemporary popular music. His eclectic tastes and inspirations would be too many to list here, but he has always been quite vocal about encouraging young musicians to turn to the early masters to learn their craft.
